A Levels: Great successes at Malcolm Arnold Academy

Students at Northampton’s Malcolm Arnold Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, are once again celebrating another set of impressive results after receiving their A level and BTEC grades today.

Malcolm Arnold Academy has seen an increase in the average grade achieved by students, with a record number of students being accepted into university.  Strong performing subjects include Art, photography and textiles, emphasising the importance of offering a broad and balanced curriculum in KS3 and KS4.

Students studying Politics are also celebrating, with all of them achieving A or B grades.  Further strong performances in English Lang/Lit, Ethics, Geography and History demonstrate the academy’s commitment to the academic subjects. Our BTEC results continue to impress with the average grade of a Distinction across the board.

Colin Waite, Assistant Principal in charge of Sixth Form at Malcolm Arnold Academy said:

,“It is always a pleasure to share the successes of our students which provide a springboard for their future. It is particularly pleasing to see that the results have enabled 80% to secure places at university , with 20% securing apprenticeships or other employment”.

Nicola Koncarevic, Principal at Malcolm Arnold Academy, said:

“The results are a credit to our students; their dedication and determination have enabled them to embark on the next stage of their careers with enthusiasm and with many memories from Malcolm Arnold Academy.  I am pleased to see the Sixth Form at MAA going from strength to strength, placing itself as a centre of excellence in Northampton”.
