Our Sixth Form is a rapidly growing, dynamic, inspiring centre and we value every student, enabling them to aspire, achieve and progress.
Malcolm Arnold Academy Sixth Form is committed to achieving academic excellence combined with exceptional pastoral care. I hope this site will help you to make an informed choice about where you wish to take the next important steps in your education and personal development.
The demands of the 21st Century workplace make it vitally important that we equip our students with the skills and knowledge to be successful in a rapidly changing world. We strive to ensure that students have opportunities to broaden their horizons through the provision of an inclusive learning environment centred on values of mutual respect and equality.
Aims of the Sixth Form:
Independence: To promote self-reliance and autonomy, through the transition from consistent teacher supervised learning, towards greater independent and self-directed learning. This will require students becoming self-disciplined and resilient in learning.
Dedication: To facilitate the pursuit of academic excellence in the sixth form. We will closely monitor student academic progress, and set high aspirations for every student to realise their potential and strive to be successful.
Partnership: To embrace a sense of community and become active participants both within the academy community and in the world beyond. We will ensure that all students have the opportunity to engage in varied activities to strengthen employability and leadership skills.
